 In this wargame, we start from where we left off last time in Bandit0, logged in to the game server as bandit0.

Reading through the OverTheWire webpage for bandit1, we see:

The password for the next level is stored in a file called readme located in the home directory.

Let’s run a ls command and see it’s output:

ls

Notice the readme file. Run a cat command:

cat readme

And the output we get is the password to bandit1.
